4

Connect with Strava

Tap Connect with Strava to open Strava's authorization flow in Safari.

5

Authorize the integration

Log in to Strava, approve the requested permissions, and optionally sync the last 7 days of Strava activity during setup.

6

Verify the first sync

Finish a Fitbod workout and confirm it posts to Strava, or check that a supported public Strava cardio activity appears in Fitbod.

Workarounds & Tips

  • ๐Ÿ’กIf a workout came from another app and reached Apple Health with Strava as the source, either make the Strava activity public for direct Strava import or connect the original app directly to Apple Health.
  • ๐Ÿ’กFor unsupported Strava activity types, manual logging inside Fitbod is more reliable than expecting the Strava import to cover them.
  • ๐Ÿ’กIf you need more than the optional 7-day backfill, plan around the fact that Fitbod's setup flow is not a full historical migration tool.

Pros

  • โœ“Native iOS integration with useful two-way sync behavior
  • โœ“Completed Fitbod workouts can post directly to Strava
  • โœ“Supported public Strava cardio activities can import into Fitbod
  • โœ“Setup includes an optional 7-day Strava backfill

Cons

  • โœ—Fitbod's current Strava help flow is iOS-only
  • โœ—Private Strava activities do not import into Fitbod
  • โœ—Unsupported Strava activity types are ignored
  • โœ—Historical backfill is limited to the last 7 days during setup

Troubleshooting

โš ๏ธ The Connect with Strava button does nothing

Check iPhone Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps and make sure Safari is enabled, then try the connection flow again.

โš ๏ธ Strava workouts are not showing in Fitbod

Confirm the activity is Public in Strava, verify the activity type is one of Fitbod's supported import types, and disconnect then reconnect Strava in Fitbod if the connection seems stale.

โš ๏ธ A workout is missing when Apple Health is also connected

Check whether the workout entered Apple Health with Strava as the source. Fitbod intentionally filters those entries to avoid duplicates, so connect the original app to Apple Health directly when possible.
